Description:   Join Mailman School Alumni at the Fifth Annual Alumni Summit for Public Health Leadership

5:00 pm: Panel Discussion on Mass Incarceration
Incarceration, and criminal justice involvement more broadly, has increasingly been recognized as a threat to population health. The public health implications of criminal justice involvement are evident not only in the magnitude of the system and the physical and mental strains it places on individuals personally involved but also in the transmission of adverse consequences from those personally in the system to others in their families and communities. The panel aims to present unique perspectives on incarceration, its causes, and its consequences for public health.
