Film Screening & Discussion
In recognition of United Nation's International Day of the Girl on October 11th, we will be showing this groundbreaking film. Directed by Academy Award nominee Richard Robbins, the film tells the stories of 9 extraordinary girls from 9 countries and showcases the strength of the human spirit and the power of education to change the world.
Post screening discussion co-facilitated by Professor Ellen Lukens and Professor Susan Witte.
Co-sponsored by the CSSW Policy Caucus, International Social Welfare Caucus, Columbia University Partnership for International Development (CUPID), and the Office of Development and Alumni Relations.
LUNCH WILL NOT BE SERVED, however, light refreshments will be available. You are more than welcome to bring your own sandwich, salad, etc. to enjoy while you watch the film. Please be sure to advise any guests that you registered to attend to bring their lunch as well.
