How comfortable and effective are you at telling your story and communicating your value?
Hitting the right balance when talking about ourselves can be a challenge, but if you are:
considering a new job or role;
interested in building your brand in your organization;
transitioning to senior leadership;
wondering how to communicate your value to co-workers and prospective clients
The Duke Career Center, the Fuqua School of Business, The Duke Law School, and the Duke Alumni Association invite you to join us for a program and cocktail reception on The Art of Effective Self-Promotion: You need to tell your story. (Staff from each will be on hand.)
Executive Coach and Duke Graduate, Debby Stone '84, JD'89, will present a highly interactive session on how to tell your unique story and promote your value in an authentic way to anyone, anytime. (See bio below)
Session objectives are to:
1. Dispel myths and create comfort with self-promotion.
2. Learn tools for developing messaging content and effectively delivering your story and value proposition.
Participants will have the opportunity to consider how well and how comfortably they currently promote themselves, interact with fellow alumni, and learn the building blocks for improving and enhancing their self promotion skills.
