President Richard H. Brodhead will welcome the Duke community to a special visit to CERN, where Duke faculty and students were among the international team of scientists who discovered the Higgs boson particle.

5:30 - 6:30 PM Reception with President Brodhead, faculty and students from Duke academic programs in Geneva, alumni, parents and friends.
6:30 - 7:30 PM President Brodhead interviews Professor Al Goshaw about work on the Higgs boson project
7:30 Reception continues with dessert and coffee
This is a rare opportunity to bring the Duke community in Europe and the Commonwealth of Independent States together, and we hope to see you all there!
This event is part of Duke's Summer 2013 European tour. President Brodhead will also visit London on June 23 and Berlin on July 2. Please make plans to join us at one or more of these exciting events in Europe this summer.
