Unsung Heroine Nomination
An Unsung Heroine is a woman who has demonstrated extraordinary dedication to issues that affect women at Emory or in the larger community, but whose efforts have not received publicity or formal recognition. The Center for Women at Emory created the Unsung Heroine Awards in 1998. Categories include awards for undergraduate and graduate students, faculty, administrators, staff, retirees and alumnae. The alumnae award is given in partnership with the Emory Alumni Association.

Award winners are women who have:
 
·     Done significant community service work in the promotion of  safety, justice, and equity for girls and women.
·     Trailblazed in previously male-dominated environments.
·     Taken substantial risks to challenge sexism.
·     Served as role models or mentors for girls or women.
 
Email statement and any additional information (if included) to the Center for Women. The subject line of the email should be: Unsung Heroine Nomination for (nominee name).
