About the Webinar
Many job seekers pick their next job target based on "That's what I've always done," "That's what I'm good at," or "That's where the money is." It is not often that we take a step back and methodically test these assumptions to see if other paths are possible and might bring us more satisfaction. Knowing what you like to do, what you’re good at, and where you want to go in life – these are the keys to planning a career move that will be rewarding and right for you. This session reviews self-assessment exercises that provide both self-knowledge and a framework for making decisions among many career possibilities. Specific exercises include the “Seven Stories” to assess what you enjoy doing that you're good at, a job-related values exercise, the “15 and 40 year vision,” and a methodology for making decisions between different job alternatives.
