About the Workshop
This workshop provides an introduction to LinkedIn, a network of online professionals whose profiles mirror resumes. LinkedIn offers employers an unprecedented look at our virtual presence, while allowing us the opportunity to interact with others in our field, ultimately expanding our contacts. This seminar will take place in a computer lab and offers the opportunity to gain hands-on experience with LinkedIn. It’s highly recommended that you have a Linkedin account established prior to attending. A free account can be created here:

About the Speaker
Adam Mayer is the Director of Career Counseling in the Center for Career Services and Cooperative Education at Montclair State University. He earned a BA in Psychology from The Richard Stockton College of NJ, an MA in Counseling from Montclair State University and Global Career Development Facilitator certification through the National Career Development Association. He draws from over 12 years’ experience in the field to provide effective career counseling to undeclared students and alumni. Adam is MBTI Qualified by the Association for Psychological Type and trained by Consulting Psychologists Press to administer and interpret the Strong Interest Inventory. In addition to the Alumni Career Resource Seminar Series, Adam conducts various career development presentations for on- and off-campus partners. He is actively engaged on campus working for the President’s Commission on Affirmative Action and Diversity (PCAAD) and consistently represents the Center during Admissions Open Houses, Graduate School events, Student Leadership Conferences and Veteran & Military Student programming. Adam has collaborated with numerousnews outlets, including The Star Ledger, Bergen Record, Herald News, News12, and Careers & the disABLED

Step 1: Enter your last name, first name, and class year.

Step 2: Click on your name from the list provided.

Step 3: Verify your identity by entering your security information.

Step 4: Create your username and password. Read and agree to the policy of use and your sign on is complete!
