Wendy C. Nielsen is a professor of English and comparative literature at Montclair State University. She is the author of scholarly
essays on Romantic-era theater, the drama of the French Revolution, Jean-Jacques Rousseau, Olympe de Gouges, Elizabeth Inchbald, Charlotte Corday, and Boadicea. In addition to invited lectures, she has frequently presented papers at scholarly meetings and has published book reviews in various academic journals.
