Dear Fellow Black Alumni,

Our Black Alumni Reunion (BAR) is a wonderful time for us to reconnect and reengage with our beloved alma mater. I am amazed at the excitement that is building on our campus as plans are being finalized to welcome you back home.

For past BARs, transportation has been factored into the cost of the housing package. Based on feedback we are receiving, Ohio University has decided to offer complimentary transportation to all BAR participants this year. This transportation service will include shuttles to and from local hotels to all BAR events, free of charge. For those who have already registered for the housing package, transportation costs will be reimbursed through the Ohio University Alumni Association. Please contact Alice Wells by phone at (740) 597-1832 or by email at aw396313@ohio.edu
.
As a proud alumnus of color, the engagement of our Black alumni is extremely important to me. The feedback that has been shared is most helpful in informing our planning for this and future reunions and alumni events. It is my hope that by subsidizing the transportation costs of this important network, Ohio University is proactively demonstrating our support for our Black alumni and our commitment to a wonderful celebration for which we all can be proud.

Thank you for your loyalty and invaluable contributions to our alma mater! I look forward to seeing you later this month!

Go Bobcats!
