College of Nursing students practice their skills and real-life patient care scenarios before they are placed in a hospital or clinical setting. Don’t miss this opportunity to see one of our high-tech learning labs.
2:15-3:30 PM, CAPE Tour
Operated out of the School of Medicine, the Center for Advancing Professional Excellence (CAPE) is a full-service assessment and education center. Specializing in the use of standardized patients, teaching associates and simulators, the center is used by all disciplines on campus. Nursing master’s students in advanced practice specialty programs and DNP students learn in the CAPE.

2:15-3:30 PM, Clinical Education Center/Sim Lab Tour
The CEC and Simulation Suites focus on clinical education for nursing students. State-of-the-art equipment—such as the Pyxis electronic medication dispensing machine and Noelle, a high-fidelity birthing mannequin—helps students learn quality and safety outside their clinical hours at the hospital or clinic.

Mile High Cultural Experience
The Office of Alumni Relations has partnered with Visit Denver to provide alumni and their guests with a Mile High Culture Pass. For the remainder of the weekend, you and your classmates can enjoy a self-guided, cultural experience around The Mile High City.

Restrictions: Upon activation, the pass will admit visitors to three participating attractions of their choice over the course of three consecutive days. The pass is activated at the first attraction visited. Other restrictions may apply.
