Basic Life Support (BLS) for Healthcare Providers

The Office of Alumni Relations and the Physical Therapy Alumni Association offer Basic Life Support for Healthcare Providers certification (CPR) for CU alumni, faculty, staff, students, and unaffiliated community members. This course is a hands-on course that is offered to anyone interested and/or required to receive their CPR certification. The BLS course provides a two-year certification through the American Heart Association.

BLS for Healthcare Providers is a 4-hour traditional classroom course where Basic Life Support is taught and demonstrated. Participants learn to recognize life-threatening emergencies, provide CPR, and use an AED. Participants will receive the BLS for Healthcare Providers Manual at the beginning of class. The course will be held in Education 1 on the Anschutz Medical Campus. This course will start promptly, so please be on time. Visitors are encouraged to park in the Ignacio or Georgetown lots. A parking map can be found in the confirmation email after registering for the course.

Healthcare Provider CPR certification cards will be sent in approximately 1-2 weeks after completion of the course.
