Join New York area alumni, parents and friends for a lecture from Benjamin Brown Professor of Physics Mark Beck. Professor Beck's fields of expertise include quantum optics and laser physics. This lecture will provide an accessible introduction to some recent experimental results, and describe how these experiments are changing the way we teach physics.

Whitman students will also be in attendence as part of their annual Garrett and Sherwood scholarships trip.

St. Francis College is located in historic Brooklyn Heights and is easily accessible by most major subway lines including the 2, 3, 4, 5, R, A, and C and is just one stop from Lower Manhattan. Enter through the Science and Technology building at 182 Remsen Street. Street parking is limited but there are ample public parking garages in the area. Click here for a map of the surroundings.
